swirly colours

I think my mood ring is broken. It (apparently) shows that I am perpetually in a state of ecstasy or a romantic mood. Nonsense! Boo, this either means that my body temperature is wack because I am no normal human; nay, I’m an uber cool secret agent who is jedi by night or I somehow managed to break the crystals inside. Hahaha.

Anyhoo, when the mood ring is working properly, I like to watch the swirly colours change. It reminds me of ‘Little Flowers’ by the absolutelyyummy Denison Witmer.

Very nice to harmonize with too! Heehee. Ok, I must go play catch up with my study plan. I think ‘time’ and the said ’study plan’ have colluded and conspired to play unfair.. I feel like I’m losing the game all the time!!

frivolous heartpain

why do I get heartpain over weird and frivolous things? like…

• my baby not arriving any time soon,

• or my frida’s garden hoodie running out of stock as my order was processing during the limited-time-only hoodie sale (just like the m lane brookefraser gig).

haha, I always seem to be just a few steps behind everyone.

Looming exams, emails in the draft box and just the long wait… my mind threatens to run amuck. That, or just pack its bags and up and go. Ha.

A piece of advice from thementor/myboss(! haha) has been keeping me grounded lately though: Serve God, study hard, run a good race. [insert here] comes later, when you have worked out what race you are running and how far you want to run. It’s really just a variation on Mum’s ‘love God, everything else is secondary’. That pretty much cuts out a lot of rubbish from daily life. Makes me prioritize too.

But rah, is it really that easy? Uh, yes and no? I’ll figure it out along the way I guess. Among the many verses that come to mind is this one:

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he takes delight in his way

Psalm 37:23
